My Background

My appreciation for Automotive Design began as a young boy and grown into a +20 year career in Mechanical Design.  Chasing that childhood dream has taken me all over the world.  Nothing is more rewarding than seeing and hearing your own creations come to life.  You can predict a lot of things when you design a machine but you cannot predict the rhythmic sound it makes, its  mechanical heart beat.

The photos you will see here are taken by me and are not altered in any post production software.  Some photo may have the color removed such as black and white photos.  The lighting in typically natural with only backdrops and shading.  Some accent lighting will be added to draw focus to design features I want to highlight.  

My photos are inspirited more by specific features of automotive mechanisms.  The shapes, materials, and protective coatings all play their part.  Nothing moves me more than mechanical aspects that are truly creative and difficult to manufacture.  These features are solely there out of a Designers passion and the artisan craftsman's skill.  I have spent my entire career pursuing that intercept.  I believe these features are all too easily dismissed as nuance.
